Word cannot describe how truly grateful we are for all you have done. May God bless your work and your generous hearts.
I tell everyone about the marvelous work your foundation does. Diane really set a shinning example for all of us - such courage!
Your generosity and compassion is so much appreciated!
I thank you very much for your charitable donation towards me and my family. I am so grateful for your help at this time of need. I wish you all the best. I pray that God would always bless your charity to always be able to help someone in need.
Your assistance to me and my family was a Godsend. This foundation is wonderful, there should be more people like you in the world. I can breathe easier now thanks to you and your foundation.
You have brought sunshine back into our lives and I will be forever grateful for that.
I feel like God has sent me an angel. Thank you
Thank you so much for your support this year. I don't know how I could have managed to get through 2005 without your support. We want to thank you for helping my family for Christmas through your holiday program. Your generosity was overwhelming. As you can imagine, there are still some tough times ahead of us. But with organizations such as yours, it makes our lives a little bit easier. God Bless you all.
Thank you for the Thanksgiving Turkey. It took me three days to eat and I loved it every day!
Thank you so much for all of your support and all of the wonderful things you have given my family.
Thank you for the tickets for the Sixer's game because my son is so excited about going to this game. He has never been to a real basketball game before. He is a very grateful 7 year old boy. He says thank you and so do I. We are truly blessed to have people like you in our lives. You are truly loving and caring individuals, and we thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts for caring for our family. Mere words can't explain how we feel. God bless you.
Thank for helping me through the hard times.
Thank you very much for offering to help me and my family. I didn't know that people like you existed anymore. My children deserve a wonderful Christmas and I am unable to give them that. I have prayed that our situation would get better and I guess my prayers are being answered. My family has been going through so much with me having cervical cancer, and I just want to make them happy. I would like to thank all of the people involved for including us in the holiday program. We are truly grateful.
This is going to be a very unusual letter about a wonderful and generous organization called The Breathing Room Foundation. In fact, all four members of the Klein family are going to express their feelings. First, we’ll begin with me, Fern. I am 45 years old, and four years ago I was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer. About two years ago, I received a letter from an organization called The Breathing Room Foundation. Not only did I receive a letter, but they started calling me. They asked what I needed. First of all, they wanted to take care of the mental health of my family. They sent me citywide passes to go to the Benjamin Franklin Institute, the Philadelphia Zoo, and passes to other museums in the city. They also sent us movie gift certificates. If this wasn’t wonderful enough, they kept on calling me to see what else I needed. They started delivering meals to our house – enough for three or four days for all four of us. They were also including snacks for the kids. You should see the food basket we received for Thanksgiving. We had enough for several nights. Then, two years ago, when Hanukah came along, I was worried. Not only did they buy gifts for our children, Staci and Bobby, they bought presents for my husband, Russ, and me. Mary Ellen and Barbara are constantly keeping in touch with me on the phone, and visiting me here at home. One day, when I was on the telephone with Mary Ellen, she could tell something was wrong, and inquired. I told Staci was asked to the Jr. Prom, but I did not have enough money to purchase a dress. Mary Ellen said not to worry, and she has several nieces, who are Staci’s size. The following week, Mary Ellen brought to our house several prom gowns. Not only did they supply the gown, but they also gave her money to get her hair and nails done. Staci looked like a real princess. The organization has also provided Staci with a lot of clothes. I know I’ve been hogging this letter so far. However, I want to touch on two more items. When The Breathing Room found out we did not have a computer, they got us one – the one we are using right now, to create this letter. I am also very grateful for the school supplies The Breathing Room supplied to our children. I guess I, Russ, am a person of few words. Fern has very much expressed the gratitude I feel toward The Breathing Room, and the dedicated and caring people involved. In addition to the thanks I have for the help provided to my children and wife, I’d like to say that I appreciate that The Breathing Room included me in their support. I appreciated the food delivered to the house, and the day at Hurricane Harbor. It was a great family day before Staci left for college. In addition, I have enjoyed the two annual “Celebration of Life” parties we went to. Thank you for everything. Staci is dictating her thoughts over the telephone from New York, since she is presently in her freshman year at New York University. First of all, I would like to thank The Breathing Room for all the school supplies they got for me to bring to college. Especially, the MetroPass has really come in handy. Throughout the last two years, I have gotten a wardrobe of clothes from The Breathing Room. I am really grateful for the awesome gowns The Breathing Room provided for my Jr. and Sr. Prom. I understand that The Breathing Room is working on finding me a computer for college up here. The Breathing Room is an awesome organization. Hi, I’m Bobby and I’m 11 years old. I think the cooks should open up a restaurant. I would go there every night. They gave me a microscope for Hanukah. This got me really interested in science. By the way, I like the telescope and all the gifts they have given me. I like the day trips that we go to go on, like the movies, the zoo and HURRICANE HARBOR WAS AWESOME! Now, you’ve heard from every member of the family. We have barely scratched the surface of what The Breathing Room has done for us. It was hard to describe in words what we feel toward The Breathing Room. Thank you, Breathing Room with all our heart.
Sincerely,
Russ, Fern, Staci and Bobby
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all your hard work over the holiday season. When going through a stressful time often we are unaware that we need help. I was expecting a new baby, caring for my three, and two year children, plus dealing with my husband's newly diagnosed rare cancer. With all of this going on I was in over my head. The Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas gifts afforded me some much needed "breathing room". I have enclosed some pictures of my children and notice how happy they are. Your organization played a large part in those smiles and we are forever grateful. This a wonderful organization and what a tribute to the founders memory. I pray that someday when my family gets through the other side of this medical crisis that we can somehow repay all the kindness and generosity you have shown us. With sincere appreciation.
I wanted to let you know how touched and grateful we are for
josh's award. It truly will come in very handy, but more than that it let's us
know just how much caring there is in our community. Fortunately Josh has
finally come home after a 6 month stay in the hospital and is doing well thus
far. Our thanks also go out to the wonderful social worker at HUP who
nominated josh for this award. Thank you again for all your support. We hope we
will be able to be contributors in the future!
Fondly Joan Sack
