TOGETHER, WE DID IT!
More than $33,000 Raised to Support Local Families Fighting Cancer

A very big thank you to the hundreds of community members that came out for the Annual Valley Road Run this past Sunday in support of the Breathing Room Foundation. With your help, we were able to raise $33,000 to give families the “breathing room” they need to focus on their battle against cancer.
One participate said, “I just love this run. I always feel so good after I run this race, with the strong sense of community and just knowing that I am making a difference. Thank you for organizing such a great event.”
The family-friendly race featured a 5k run and 2-mile walk, with participants ranging in age from 1 to 79 years old. We had children in strollers and many who ran their first 5K! There were teams racing in honor of a loved who passed and others in support of someone still fighting. This day brings together our supporters, our volunteers and many who have been on the receiving end of our support. This events truly promotes unity.
Our largest team, King Arthur’s Miles, had 22 participants show up to rally around one of our youngest fighters. This group was also our top fundraising team, raising more than $3,000! A returning team, Passionate for Pat participated virtually and raised over $1,400!
Thank you again to all those who came out to support the Breathing Room Foundation and the families . It is because of our dedicated community members that we are able to make a difference. Click here for race results.
