The days are getting longer, the weather is getting hotter and that can only mean one thing- summer is here! As school lets out, many families find themselves taking advantage of the time they have together to plan fun and trips and events. Here at BRF, we recognize that a simple day out can be hard for our families both logistically and financially. For this reason, we are running the Summer Fun Program so that our families too, can enjoy a day of fun and relaxation together. We provide our families with tickets and passes to events such as baseball games, museum trips, or even just a family ice cream outing. How can you help? In addition to your financial support, we are also looking for any extra tickets to sporting events or museum day passes you have. Together we can give these families the “summer vacation from cancer” that they deserve!
In addition to the Summer Fun Program we are still providing our usual services which include: meals for the families, transportation to Fox Chase Cancer Center, yard work, comfort packages, and help around the house. We are currently looking for volunteers to aid in preparing meals, delivering comfort bags and food, as well and volunteers to help transport the families to and from appointments. Whether providing financial support or your time, volunteer support this summer is greatly appreciated and we hope to hear from you! For more specific information, please send us an email.
