The BRF is always looking for volunteers to help with our ongoing programs!
2021 Summer Fun Program
Summer is fast approaching! Help us provide Summer Fun packages to our BRF families!
We are collecting:
- $5 and $10 Rita’s, Wawa, Dunkin’ and Five Below gift cards ● Diapers – sizes 3 to 6 & baby wipes
- Family Friendly Food: mac and cheese, pancake mix & syrup, tuna, nuts, condiments, red and black beans, taco kits, canned veggies and fruit, pudding, soup, pasta & sauce, rice mixes, peanut butter & jelly
- Household items: laundry detergent, dryer sheets, cleaning supplies, dish detergent, hand soap, adult and children’s toothpaste & toothbrushes, napkins, toilet paper, tissues and bathroom cups
Delivery Volunteers will be needed beginning June 21 to July 10.
2021 Back to School Program
Help us provide personalized school supplies to 175 BRF families!
Volunteers will be needed to collect, assemble and deliver personalized school supplies to our BRF families living throughout Philadelphia as well as parts of Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware and Chester counties beginning August 9. Donors will be needed to sponsor 1 child or an entire family. Group collections of school supplies are welcome!
Our Amazon wish list will be active July 12.
2021 BRF Valley Road Run – Sunday, September 26
The 5K Run and 2K Walk starts at 1061 Rydal Road in Rydal at 8:30 AM. Volunteers are needed to line the race route and cheer the runners over the finish line. Numerous volunteer options are available to ensure the safety and success of this event. Great opportunity for student service hours!
Breathing Room Foundation Office
Our BRF office is located at 8310 Brookside Road in Elkins Park, on the St. James Catholic Church campus. Parking is available behind our building. There is a Breathing Room sign on our front lawn. We are to the left of the St. James Catholic Church. Our programs are coordinated in our BRF office now.
