2024 Basic Needs Drive

This year, we are hearing from more and more families who have to make difficult financial choices in the midst of their cancer treatments. Whether it’s skipping paying a mortgage or rent bill, putting less gas in the car, or forgoing grocery shopping as long as possible, food insecurity and the rising costs of basic needs are taking their toll.

A recent BRF recipient, Lily, was referred for support with basic needs. Her initial delivery included six packages full of diapers, bed pads, a comfort bag, food, cleaning and household supplies, personal care items, snacks, cards, and a $200 grocery gift card.

Lily and her daughter cried on seeing this delivery. They shared that before the BRF delivery arrived, they had been deciding between paying their gas bill or buying groceries.

To help address food insecurity, we’re doing a SUMMER BASIC NEEDS DRIVE.
